Mary's Birthday Weekend

Participants/Time of Day: Doug, Mary, Griffin: 8:30am

Workout:
Mary & Melissa hit up a spin class at the gym.

Doug & Griffin did a 5-6 mile run - not sure exactly how far, we just cruised and listened to music.

Thoughts: Mary said that the spin class was really fun and a good change of pace. The run was great except for Griffin deciding to chase after a swan in the pond by the golf course-he was COVERED in black mud when he got out. Mary and I are going to a surprise dinner tonight.

Friday

Workout: 5 mile Run

Catching up

So, I did 5 workouts in week 1 and blogged them all. Then I did 5 workouts in week 2 but fell behind in blogging. In week 3, I have done 2 so far and plan to do one today at 3pm. Here's what I've done this week:

Week: 3

Workout: 1 & 2

What I did: Weights...

Wednesday - Chest (3 exercises, 9 sets), Triceps (2 exercises, 6 sets), Shoulders (2 exercises, 6 sets), Abs (100 crunches)

Thursday - Back (3 exercises, 9 sets), Biceps (2 exercises, 6 sets), Traps (4 sets), Abs (100
crunches)

Thoughts: Glad to be back in the blogosphere. Also excited to have finally changed my splits. I'm now doing push and pull days instead of big muscle/small muscle days. Feeling good. Getting bigger. Ready to hit 5 again this week!

What a Beating

Participants/Time of Day: Doug, Mary, Griffin, Dixie / 5:00am

Workout:
Walk/Jog/Run approx. 2 miles and stretch

Thoughts: We woke up and got ready to swim... Until we realized that our goggles are down at the lake. I was super sore from last night and did not feel like doing ANYTHING but swimming, I had my mind set on it. Buuuuuuut since we were up and couldn't swim, we decided to take the dogs on a long walk and stretch when we got back.

Humpday Workout (3-1)

Week: 3

Workout: 1
What I did:
45 minute cardio "mash-up" (elliptical, bike, treadmill run).
Thoughts:
After a 3-day hiatus from working out, it feels good to be "back on the wagon". Can't wait to workout 5 days in a row!

I'm Baaaaaaack!

OK, I am not off the wagon of working out. I have just been off the wagon about BLOGGING about it. But thank you, Douglas for getting our butts in gear. This is EXACTLY why I wanted us all to do this blog together.

I am going to re-cap my workouts from last week in this post.
2/24: 45 min family walf (workout #3.5)
2/25: 30 min walk with Mom (workout #4)
I am counting those TWO walks as one full workout.
2/26: Spin Class.

So I did get in my 5 workouts last week (barely)... though, I am not too proud of their intensity.
